Structured
Wiring
Most offices and homes are wired
for only basic services like electricity, telephone, and limited
cable TV. The wiring is not business ready, nor is it enough to take advantage of the new and
future technologies.
Nology Solutions can install
a custom structured wiring network that connects all the rooms
in your office and home to a central location. From there,
services like telephone, fax, and high speed internet can be
routed to any room. Conveniences like satellite, cable,
internet, and closed circuit TV can be enjoyed wherever you
choose. And because the wiring networks we install have the
future in mind, new technologies like interactive TV, digital
television, and video-on-demand can easily be made part of your
home and your lifestyle.

WHAT IT DOES FOR
YOU
Lets you watch video from antenna,
cable, satellite, VCR, or DVD in any room.
Gives you access to multiple
telephone lines for voice, fax, or modem in any room.
Lets you link home computers to
share files, printers, and internet access. All the
internetworking conveniences!
HOW IT WORKS
High performance wires and cables
are run from wall plates in individual rooms to a central
location.
Incoming services like telephone,
surveillance, cable, internet, and satellite TV are brought to
the central distribution panel.
The panel houses all the
distribution hardware and allows services to be routed (and
reconfigured) to each room.
The wall plates in each room have
high-performance terminations and connections to assure
high-performance end to end.
Just plug and
play!

Category 5e and 6 are the
standard to which most networks are wired. The
copper solution as a whole is very cost effective.
The two negative aspects to
using copper cable are the speed and distance limitations.
The speed concern is being addressed and improved, however,
the distance limitation remains a problem. The only
way to extend the distance is to use a signal regenerator
such as a hub or repeater.

|
The fiber-optics backbone is
an excellent compliment to the copper network. It
allows you to connect two or more areas with distance or
high volume concerns together i.e. office to warehouse areas
or multi-level office areas with no adverse affect to the
network.
The costs
tend to be slightly higher and are easily justified upon
closer examination.

This solution is emerging as
a superstar in the industry. There are several
benefits to this method of cabling, such as, virtually no
distance barriers, higher network speeds, less or no wiring
closets required and less network hardware.
The major drawbacks are
slightly higher cost and the network has to be reconfigured
for fiber network cards and fiber switches. |
